We are involved at all stages of our projects from the initial consultation and design, throughout the installation process, project managing and supervising the installation team, to providing advice and guidance on the on-going maintenance and development as the garden grows and matures.

Our gardens are tailored around the unique requirements of each client AND each garden. Our designs and quotes are based on your lifestyle, budget and garden ‘living’ requirements, as well as the unique characteristics of your plot or garden.

Step 1 – An initial meeting on site with Kathryn is scheduled. Following this meeting the client will be provided with detailed quotes (itemised bill of quantities with photographs of plants and materials included and options available.) This all comes at no cost to the client.

Should a comprehensive design be necessary, the cost of this will be finalised prior to the design being done – starting from R13500 depending on the scope of the work. Quotes from subcontractors (e.g. wooden decking, stone walls & paving) are provided if required.

Step 2 – Acceptance of the quote or revisions to the quote. A second meeting with Kathryn may be required to discuss the quotes. We work within the client's budget and various possible options are discussed until the client is satisfied. The installation process and timing will then be planned and at this time a 60% deposit is required.

Step 3 – Installation of the garden: This starts with site clearing and the installation of any hard landscaping features such as paving and water features, as well as the installation of the irrigation system. Then the soft landscaping is done, which includes soil preparation and leveling, layout of flowerbeds, fertilizing, composting, positioning and planting of plants and mulching thereafter. Stepping-stone pathways are installed and flowerbed edging is laid prior to lawn being laid. Final touches are then made to the irrigation system.

Step 4 – Handover upon completion: Key aspects of the maintenance of the garden are discussed and the client is provided with a maintenance guideline, which explains in detail what is required for the garden to flourish to its full potential.

Step 5 – Follow-up and Specialised Maintenance: We encourage an on-going relationship with our clients and are always available to answer questions and assist with the long-term maintenance of our gardens. We highly recommend that we come annually (during the winter months are best) or biannually for specialised maintenance, including pruning/shaping of shrubs & hedges, transplanting, fertilising, composting, lawn topdressing and gap planting as needed.

We are committed to excellence in each and every garden that we create. We love making our clients happy and our greatest joy comes from seeing the stunning results of all our efforts, as our gardens thrive and develop with time. This is truly the best job in the world!
